About the Tour:

Spiti is the land of monasteries and open landscapes preserved deep in the mighty Himalayas. The Spiti and Pin Rivers make their way through the desert mountain valley positioned northeast in the hilly state of Himachal. Spiti has an entirely different terrain as compared to its better half, Lahaul.

Day 1 / Depart for Tirthan Valley Tirthan, Himachal
    Evening
    • Depart for Tirthan by evening in an AC vehicle.
    • Overnight journey to Tirthan
Day 2 / Tirthan Valley sightseeing Tirthan, Himachal
    Full Day
    • Morning arrival at Tirthan. Check into hostel
    • We then drive down to the riverside rest house. You can spend time besides the river marvelling at the beauty of Tirthan valley.
    • Thereafter, we will trek for 2 kms to see this mesmerizing Choi waterfall.
    • We later head back to our camps where we begin bonfire which will be followed by dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 / Depart for Chitkul Chitkul, Himachal
    Full Day
    • Wake up early morning and after breakfast depart for Chitkul.
    • Famously known as the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibet Border, Chitkul is also the most beautiful village of the striking Baspa Valley in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. If escapism is your choice of travel drug, let us assure you, that a trip to Chitkul will not disappoint you.
    • Reach Chitkul by evening.
    • Check in to homestay.
    • Evening at leisure.
    • Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 / Chitkul - Kapla Kalpa, Himachal
    Full Day
    • Have breakfast later checkout and depart for Kalpa. Before entering Kalpa at 9711 feet, we catch a glimpse of the famous Kinner Kailash Peak – said to be the summer abode of Lord Shiva.
    • At Kalpa, you will warm up with a piping cup of tea before checking into your warm hotel room.
    • Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Kalpa.
Day 5 / Kalpa - Nako - Tabo - Kaza Kaza, Himachal
    Full Day
    • We start the day with breakfast, checkout and head to a visit to the 1026 year old Tabo Monastery, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk around this sacred site and gain a deeper understanding of Buddhism, on way to Tabo we have a steaming hot lunch at Nako.
    • From Tabo, we drive to the spectacular Kaza.
    • Here, we spend the night at a comfortable and authentic homestay in Kaza.
    • Dinner & overnight stay at a homestay in Kaza.
Day 6 / Kaza Sightseeing Kaza, Himachal

    • We drive to the renowned Key Monastery and later drive to some of the highest-inhabited regions of the world.
    • The highest village in Asia, Komic, literally translates to ‘eye of a snow cock’. Some of the common animals of the region are the Tibetan wolf, blue sheep, red fox, hare, snow cock, Himalayan griffin, rock pigeon, etc.
    • Later, we drive to Hikkim, where we visit the world’s highest post office. After sending out a postcard, we drive to Langza village to visit the famous statue of Buddha, which is around 1000 years old.
    • Dinner and an overnight stay at a homestay in Kaza.

     

Day 7 / Kaza Sightseeing Kaza, Himachal

    • Early morning have breakfast. We make our way Kaza – Manali road. However, we take one last stop at another Spitian wonder – Chandratal Lake.
    • After capturing the colours of the beautiful Chandratal Lake, we drive to our camping site where a hot supper under the gaze of a million stars and the Milky Way awaits us.
    • Our camps at Chandratal Lake are equipped with camping equipment including tents, high altitude sleeping bags/blankets and a comfortable mattress.
    • Dinner will be served.
Day 8 / Depart for Chandratal Chandratal, Himachal
    Full Day

     

    • Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast with visuals of the stunning Chandratal Lake captured in our minds and cameras. We continue tracing our steps back, driving on the Kaza-Manali road, and after a few hours of driving and some more stunning landscape, we pass through the famous Atal Tunnel and reach Manali.
    • Check in to the hotel.
    • Dinner and overnight stay.

     

Day 9 / Checkout and depart for Delhi Manali, Himachal
    Full Day
    • Have breakfast, checkout the hotel and proceed for local sightseeing to Hadimba temple, Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar.
    • Later stroll around the Mall road, enjoy the last minute shopping.
    • By evening depart for Delhi.
    • Overnight journey to Delhi.
